GREAT Britain men's wheelchair basketball team earned a 56-38 win over the Netherlands in the final game to be crowned champions of the Continental Clash at Worcester's University Arena.
They claimed gold medals with Japan winning silver and Germany bronze ahead of the Netherlands in fourth position.
GB put in two gritty performances against Japan, winning 58-52 but then losing 64-51.
They also overcame a German comeback to beat them 71-62 after triumphing by the same scoreline in the first game.
The other match ended in a 56-50 success for GB over the Netherlands.
In the Continental Clash for the women at Worcester, GB beat the Netherlands 50-49, Germany 54-50 and France 60-39 and 56-52.
But they lost to the Netherlands 65-53 and Germany 52-41.
Three teams were tied with four wins and two defeats at the top so the medals were decided on points aggregate.
GB had to settle for bronze with Germany bagging gold and the Netherlands silver.
