EXPERIENCED defender Kelvin Langmead could return to Kidderminster Harriers’ line-up for tomorrow’s clash against table-topping Forest Green Rovers at Aggborough (3pm).

Langmead has been out of action with a heel problem and winless Harriers have slipped to third-bottom in the Vanarama National League with two points from five matches.

Manager Gary Whild hopes to have Langmead back in the side for the visit of the Green Devils who have picked up five wins from five games.

Whild said: “I’m hoping Kelvin will be available this weekend. He has had a heel injury which has been difficult to treat and has dragged on a bit. He is an experienced player and it will be good to have him back.”

Harriers came close to securing a first win of the season in last Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Gateshead.

Kidderminster led through Gurjit Singh’s goal only to be denied when former Hereford United striker Ryan Bowman rescued a point for Gateshead.

Whild said: “Our performances have been good but we have young team who keep getting punished.

“But we are making a lot of chances and scoring goals.

It’s a tough level but it was a good performance to go to Gateshead against a team who have started well.

“It would be nice if we could get that first win against Forest Green. It’s always good to play the team who are top, a club with their resources and budget who have had a fantastic start to the season.”

Rovers have bagged 10 goals in their superb start to the league season and conceded only one. Aaron O’Connor is also second in the league’s goal charts with four.
