COACH Tim Flowers hopes a vocal crowd will cheer on winless Kidderminster Harriers in their Vanarama National League match against unbeaten leaders Forest Green Rovers at Aggborough tomorrow (3pm).

Visits from Grimsby Town and Wrexham have helped swell attendances for Harriers’ first two home matches of the campaign.

But Harriers supporters have also made themselves known and former England international Fowlers believes they have appreciated the work-rate from the team.

Flowers said: “It’s the kind of game we want — everyone has to play everyone twice in this division and Forest Green will come here on the crest of a wave with five wins out of five.

“Their statistics are terrific and they’ll be cock-a-hoop, but it’s a great game for us and if we can’t get up for these kind of games then we’re wasting our time. We will be up for it.

“Hopefully there will be another good gate at Aggborough for what is a fairly local derby encounter.

“The atmosphere for the Grimsby game was sensational and against Wrexham there was another good atmosphere, under the lights.

“I think the fans are behind us and they can see that we’re giving our best and we’ll continue to do that – with the amount of young faces we have in the building, we’ll only improve.”

Midfielder Calvin Dinsley was an unused substitute in Harriers’ 1-1draw at Gateshead last Saturday and, after featuring for the under 21s in midweek, looks set to remain involved with the Aggborough squad.

Kelvin Langmead (heel) is a doubt because his injury continues to cause pain, while striker Reece Styche (suspension) is available after sitting out the trip to the International Stadium.

If Styche features, he will go up against his former club, as would skipper Jared Hodgkiss, who signed for Harriers last summer after a successful spell with the Gloucestershire club.
