FERNHILL Heath Athletic are setting the pace at the top of Division Four with three successive victories in their first season in the McDonald’s Worcester and District League.

In their latest win, 6-2 at Pillar of Salt, goals came from Ryan Hammett, Richard Crowe, Sam Clay, Luke Gormley, Dave Bufton and Luke Molloy.

CSKA Worcester lead Division Five after Alex Rossler and Fabio Barreto were on target in their 2-1 win at Droitwich Spa Eagles ‘A’.

Meanwhile, Eaton Rovers went down 5-3 at home to Lower Teme and Martley, Marcus Bentley scoring twice for Rovers.

Brickfields are the early leaders of Division |Three, Jamie Owens bagging two as they beat Droitwich Spa Eagles Reserves 4-1.

Elsewhere, Upton Rangers hammered Malvern Mans 9-2 with Matt McIntosh hitting a hat-trick and Will Brown adding a double.

The first round of the Worcester Nursing Junior Cup saw several Worcester League teams progress to the next round.

Ash Millard and Lee Seldon both bagged a brace as Arrow Upton 2000 crushed St John’s 7-1, while Gary Jones cracked a treble and Scott Fletcher a double for Worcester Raiders who thumped Spa Athletic 6-0.

Other goal doubles came from Garry Price in Perrywood’s 3-2 victory at Chaddesley Corbett, James Parkes of Falcons who beat Wychbold RBL 3-2, Aaron Richards as Gloster Arms felled Oak Tree 5-1 and Dean Roberts of Hallow Village who lost 4-2 at home to Malvern Radar.

In the Minor Cup, Warndon Villages went through 4-2 against St Peter’s, Fred Harrison grabbing a hat-trick for Warndon and Joe Morrall doing likewise for the Saints.

Other trebles came from Jack Weatherby of The Talbot who won 5-1 at Powick, Joe Wood in FC Korono’s 5-2 home win over GDL Athletic and Jack Gibbons as Awkies Allstars thrashed Hylton Road Rovers 7-0.

There was a brace each for Ashley Palmer of VBL Sports Reserves who won a penalty shoot-out 4-2 after a 3-3 draw at Prince of Wales and Nuno Fonseca in Riverside’s 5-2 victory at The Bull Inn.

Alex Jones netted both goals as Riley’s beat Tenbury Athletic 2-1. Adam Gartrell notched a brace for The Bell @ Pernsax reserves who shared six goals with Colletts Green but then saw his side lose 5-4 on penalties.

In the Pershore Hospital Cup, Hallow were leading Jackson Fairfield 5-2, before the game was abandoned after 75 minutes due to a knee injury sustained by Hallow’s Leon Campbell, who had previously netted twice. Kyon Evans had earlier smashed a hat-trick for Hallow.

Claines are through to the second round, Eliot King notching a double as they defeated Alcester Town 4-2.
