A FANTASTIC performance at second-placed North Leigh saw Evesham United record their fourth consecutive Evo-Stik Southern League Division One South and West victory with a 2-1 win.

The visitors to Eynsham Park took the lead in the 10th minute after a strong start when Lance Smith headed home from a corner.

North Leigh came back into the match and equalised in the 17th minute when a Morgan Williams shot took a big deflection into the net.

The Robins started the second half well and in the 58th minute good approach work from Smith saw Adam Mann score from 12 yards.

Smith went close to making it three, hitting the side-netting with a shot, and keeper Kevin Sawyer kept the North Leigh attack at bay with a fine save with his leg.

United went up to eighth in the table and they next play on Tuesday against Slimbridge at the Jubilee Stadium (7.45).
