AROUND 1,500 Worcester Warriors supporters will be flocking to Twickenham for Saturday’s Aviva Premiership clash against champions Saracens (3.15pm).

Warriors are making their maiden 15-a-side appearance at the home of English rugby as part of a London double header which involves London Irish against Wasps (5.30pm).

Saracens have won their last nine matches in all competitions since losing to Exeter Chiefs at Allianz Park in May.

Warriors have picked up two wins from their opening four matches in the top tier since gaining promotion from the Championship.

Warriors director of rugby Dean Ryan says he will be making a couple of changes to the side who recorded a 28-20 win against Newcastle Falcons in their last Premiership outing.

Skipper Gerrit-Jan van Velze missed the Falcons match with a knee injury, while centre Wynand Olivier was getting married in South Africa.

“I don’t see there being wholesale changes but I certainly think there are a couple of people who could freshen things up,” said Ryan.

Saracens have won their last three Premiership fixtures between the sides since Worcester's 12-3 victory at Sixways in November 2012.

“It’s a step up for every team who plays against Saracens,” admitted Ryan.

“They are a pretty tough team. They are unbeaten and won the Premiership last year and have been in European semi-finals and finals.

“It will examine a huge part of the things we do and examine individuals to make the right calls and right decisions under pressure and stress."

He added: “There isn’t any mystery about Saracens. They are very good at what they do and that will put enormous stress on us.

“A lot of the talk will be about who plays for them and it gives us an opportunity to showcase ourselves.”
