HEREFORD FC made it 20 wins on the bounce with a convincing 4-1 away victory at Coleshill Town in the Midland League Premier Division.

On Coleshill’s 3G pitch, an own goal by Rob Evans got the ball rolling for Hereford, before John Mills nodded in from close-range.

Mustaphu Bundu scored the pick of the goals just before the break, before the hosts pulled one back through Ricardo Reid.

The prolific Mills, however, had the final say, stroking in from six yards to add some gloss to the result.

The opening goal of the game came following good work from Mills. He latched on to a threaded ball down the right wing before delivering a cross to the back-post where the right-back, under pressure from Mike Symons, flicked the ball into his own net.

Mills added a second after Joe Tumelty’s cross deflected to Mills, who headed in from two yards out.

Bundu notched a third after linking with Mills on the edge of the box, before dragging the ball past his man and firing in off the inside of the post.

Coleshill gave themselves a fighting chance when Reid netted.

Hereford finished proceedings with the final goal. A hooked pass over the backline released Symons, who composed himself inside the area to pull back to Mills and the striker grabbed his second.

James Hill and Ben Maund led Stourport Swifts to an impressive 2-1 victory at AFC Wulfunians, while Westfields crashed 4-0 at home to Shepshed Dynamo.

A depleted Littleton slipped to a comprehensive 3-0 derby defeat at home to Bromsgrove Sporting in Division One.

Littleton had the worst possible start when, in the very first minute, a thunderous tackle from Willis on Callum Clarke, the Littleton skipper effectively put him out of the game, as he had to be substituted.

Bromsgrove began to dominate play, and Sean Brain was put through but home keeper Haydn Whitcombe made an excellent save.

Littleton had their moments and twice went close through Robbie Bunn and Chris Conway.

The wind got stronger and the rain heavier at the start of the second half and Bromsgrove began to turn the screw.

They took the lead on 57 minutes, following a mazy run down the left the ball was squared and Kyle Turner had the easiest of tap-ins.

Littleton hit back and Dean Poulson went close after his pace took him clear.

Littleton had to commit more men forward in an attempt to get the equaliser and this let in Bromsgrove, who scored through Sam Willis, who scored again before the final whistle.

Kidderminster Harriers could do little to halt Grimsby Town’s relentless charge towards the National League promotion places after a 1-0 defeat at Blundell Park.

Harriers created the first real chance of the game after just eight minutes when James McQuilkin’s shot was met by Ben Whitfield’s header at the far post, an effort that James McKeown was able to hold.

Dean Snedker made a fine save to keep out a far-post header from Nathan Arnold.

Harriers started the second half in a strong fashion and forced their opposition into a succession of deep throw-ins and, latterly, a corner – midfielder Dino Fazlic eventually wrapping his foot around the ball and shooting just wide.

Snedker was beaten before the hour mark when Padrick Amond’s well-taken shot from a set-play sailed towards the goal, only for Town’s former Harrier, Josh Gowling, to unwittingly take it away from the target.

The pressure told, though, and around the 65th minute they broke the deadlock when Amond headed in.
