WORCESTER City Amateur Boxing Club’s lightweight Callum Shaw continued his winning ways by outpointing Walsall Wood’s Camran Cooper at a public show in Alcester.

An even first round saw both boxers take their time in getting going.

Into the second and the action started to liven up with Shaw closing the ring down and crashing home powerful hooks with both hands.

Once Shaw gets his opponent on the back foot, he rarely lets them off the hook and for Cooper this would be no exception.

Showing no respect for the height and weight difference, Shaw ripped into Cooper with hurtful body punches in the third, resulting in a couple of standing counts.

Cooper fought on bravely, standing toe-to-toe trading heavy blows until the final bell sounded.

The relentless work-rate of Shaw fully deserved the unanimous point decision returned by the judges.
