City (4-4-2)

4 Ross – a day to forget for the teenager, who was at fault for both goals, including a last-gasp howler to gift Corby victory.

7 Minihan – runs from deep helped drag his side back into the match and forced a great save from Sam Donkin late on.

6 Sharpe – yet to find his best form since coming back from injury and noticeably tired towards the end.

7 DONNELLAN – growing in stature with every game and scored a stunning goal to put City back on level terms. My man of the match.

6 Weir –worked hard to get forward and hit the post with an acrobatic effort but made too many mistakes in defence.

6 Dunkley –the in-form winger’s afternoon was cut short when he crashed into Minihan, resulting in a dislocated shoulder.

7 Jackman – after a successful stint at left-back, he returned to midfield and looked equally assured.

5 Deeney – another disappointing display from the captain, who gave the ball away numerous times and was eventually taken off.

6 Murphy – showed signs of what City saw from him last season but the on-loan forward lacked an end product.

6 Burton – appears to have shaken of his knee problem as he lasted the full 90 minutes but did little during that time.

5 Bakayoko – produced some neat touches early on but missed a great chance in the second half and was replaced by Jamie Smith.

Subs: Nti 7 (Dunkley 40), Smith 6 (Bakayoko 65), Gater (Deeney 78). Not used: Gudger, Cleet.

Corby (4-2-3-1): Donkin 7; Courtney 6 (McDonald 71, 6), Malone 6, Appleton 6, Thomas 7; Brown 7, Taylor 6, Hanlon 6, MILLS 8; Milnes 7; Downey 7 (Draper 90). Subs not used: Aridegbe, Weir-Daley, Dutton.
