NATWEST Schools Under-18 Cup holders Bromsgrove School will face Whitgift School from Croydon in this season’s semi-finals.
Bromsgrove, who beat Dulwich in last season’s final at Twickenham, eased into the semi-finals for a second successive season by beating RGS High Wycombe 31-13 in the last eight.
They will now meet Whitgift, who edged out Wilmslow HS 10-7, at Allianz Park on February 27.
But Bromsgrove’s hopes of having two teams at Twickenham on Finals Day next month were dashed when their Under-15 team went out of their NatWest Schools Cup competition in agonising fashion.
Bromsgrove drew 12-12 at home to Warwick but it was the visitors who advanced to the sem-finals on the away team rule.
But Bishop Vesey’s GS from Sutton Coldfield are through to the semi-finals of the NatWest Schools Under-15 Vase.
They beat New Hall School from Essex 19-15 in their quarter-final and will now face Sir Thomas Rich’s School from Gloucester in the last four at Allianz Park on March 6.
