TWO Worcester-born players will be trying to scupper Worcester Warriors' Aviva Premiership record attempt tomorrow.

Warriors have never achieved four successive Premiership wins and will be trying to create a club record against London Irish at Sixways (5.30pm).

Worcester have won four of their last five matches, including successive victories against Newcastle Falcons, Gloucester and Harlequins.

Worcester-born flanker Luke Narraway is skippering the Exiles and will be joined by lock Elliott Stooke, who also born in the city.

Narraway, 32, was educated at King's School Worcester, and has never played for Warriors.

Stooke has also never played for Warriors and is on loan from Gloucester before he joins Bath in the summer.

Stooke is the only change to Irish's side who defeated Gloucester at home last Sunday.

He returns to Irish's pack, partnering Matt Symons, the brother of Warrior Andy Symons, in the second row.

Irish head coach Tom Coventry said: “Elliott has done a good job since joining the club and we like his physicality and effort around the field."

Back row Ofisa Treviranus is named among the replacements for Irish after recovering from a knee injury.

“Ofisa brings an x-factor, and we are looking forward to bringing him off the bench at some point in the game," said Coventry.

“He’s had a very fluctuating season with injuries on the back of the World Cup, and it’s great to have him back in the side."

Irish are bottom of the table and 13 points adrift of 10th-placed Worcester.

Coventry said: “Worcester are clearly one of the form teams in the competition at the moment, and they have picked up some valuable wins in the last few games.

“They have recruited well of late and their scrum and lineout is strong, so they will offer us a real threat.”
