AARON Birch has what it takes to get back into full-time football according to his Hereford manager Pete Beadle.

The Bulls’ midfielder has reportedly been attracting interest from Swindon Town and Bristol City after an impressive campaign at Edgar Street.

The 21-year-old former West Bromwich Albion youngster has been ever-present in the phoenix club’s rise from the ashes and helped the Edgar Street side to the Midland League Premier Division crown and reach the final of the FA Vase.

Having made more than 50 appearances for Beadle this term, the former Bristol Rovers and Bristol City powerhouse forward has been impressed with how Birch has handled himself during his first season in senior football.

“We are very lucky to have someone like Aaron,” said Beadle.

“He is a fantastic player – he’s a footballing midfielder.

“Before this year he has only played 20 games in a season in the Under 21s – he has been ever present.

“If we can get him back into full-time football we would be delighted.”

After reforming last year, the pressure has been on Hereford to quickly climb back up the football pyramid.

Beginning life in step nine, Beadle’s side were crowned champions earlier this week and the Bulls boss says that Birch, like the rest of the team have handled the weight of expectation well.

“These lads have been playing in front of 2 to 3,000 fans every week,” the former Newport County boss said.

“Because of the size of the club and the number of fans we have the expectation was there to win the league.

“We have a number of talented players here and we have scouts coming to our games all the time.”
