THE weather spoilt most of the 100 per cent records in the Worcestershire Cricket League Second XI Division One with only Worcester Nomads recording a second victory at Bewdley.

Belbroughton beat Worcester and Evesham had a winning draw at Stourport despite 129 not out scored by Spencer Colley.

Colwall are second to Nomads after their match was abandoned along with the other two games.

In Division Two, Bromyard moved to the top, tied with Wormelow, as both won well.

Bromyard beat Avoncroft thanks to Martin Reece, who took 5-31 and scored 71 not out.

Rushwick had a winning draw against Cookley, as did Droitwich at home to Lye.

In Division Three, Chaddesley Corbett’s match with Claverley was conceded so they lead by four points from Worcester Dominies, who defeated Bromsgrove for a second success.

Division Four has three teams with two wins out of two in Stourport, Halesowen and Himbleton, who beat Barnards Green, Astwood Bank and Ross-on-Wye respectively. For Stourport, Bevan Neill made 116 not out.

Malvern beat Hanley Castle and Upton.

Division Five teams started their campaigns with maximum points for Hallow, Old Elizabethans and Tenbury.

Tenbury’s William Rogers-Coltman took 6-5 from five overs.
