WORCESTER Nomads thrashed struggling Oldswinford by 237 runs to open up a 19-point lead in Worcestershire League Division One.

Rich Henry struck an unbeaten 105 as the table-toppers posted 341-7 at home to a doomed-looking Oldswinford, who could muster just 104 all out in reply.

Second-placed Colwall’s title hopes took a dent after they crashed to a seven-wicket home defeat against improving Droitwich.

Stourport remain third despite being beaten by Hagley who scored 340-6, and now trail the leaders by 47.

Worcester are fourth following a win over Cookley, who have slipped to third from bottom and Hagley are fifth.

Division Two leaders Redditch remain 37 points clear of their nearest rivals after winning at Enville.

The all-round efforts of skipper Greg Chinn (81) and 6-20 helped his Redditch side to victory despite Greg Tomkins hitting 104 for Enville.

Chaddesley defeated Bredon comfortably after Tahseel Ahmadzai scored 110.

Worcester Dominies are fifth after winning at Lye and Evesham defeated bottom side Alvechurch & Hopwood.

Bromyard were shot out for 89 in an eight-wicket defeat against Herefordshire rivals Wormelow.

Himbleton were comprehensive winners against Old Vigornians in Division Three.

Despite losing the toss the home side made the most of favourable batting conditions by surging to a total of 389-4 from their 50 overs.

John Critchlow’s 122 the main highlight, assisted with an explosive 78 from J Alford.

OVs’ chase started well with Osman Fiaz (55) continuing his ongoing form with a quick fire knock, keeping the OVs well up with the required run rate.

Wickets though fell at regular intervals and,, although Andy Bell chipped in with 47 and Charlie Lamb made 38, Critchlow and Guy picked up three wickets.

Elsewhere, there were also wins for Kempsey and Ross who defeated Rushwick and Malvern respectively.
