HEAD coach Carl Hogg insists Worcester Warriors have got “the full package” with powerful England centre Ben Te’o.

The 29-year-old has been “integrated” into Worcester’s set-up after arriving at Sixways earlier this week.

And the New Zealand-born player will fly out with Warriors’ 43-man squad next Tuesday for their pre-season trip to France.

Warriors will be undergoing a rigorous training camp at high altitude in Tignes before they tackle a warm-up encounter against French giants Clermont Auvergne on Friday, August 12 (7pm BST).

“Ben is a world-class player and we are all looking forward to getting him out on the track,” declared Hogg today.

“He’s got a huge pedigree in rugby league and he made the conversion to rugby union very successfully with Leinster last season.

“Ben has been integrated with us in the last couple of days after a block of rest following England’s tour of Australia and a busy season with Leinster.

“He’s in and doing bits and pieces with the boys and we are looking to take him to Tignes next week.”

Te’o was fast-tracked into England’s squad for their three-Test series against Australia but did not feature as Eddie Jones’ men sealed an historic 3-0 series whitewash Down Under.

Hogg admitted he wasn’t sure whether Te’o would be wearing the number 12 or 13 shirt when the new Aviva Premiership season gets under way against Saracens on Saturday, September 3.

“We will see how we go,” said former Scottish international Hogg. “We will look at combinations.

“We have got a world-class player with good skills.

“Ben’s got a good rugby brain and we are getting the full package.”

Hogg says he is hoping 30 players will get an opportunity in Warriors’ first warm-up match against Clermont.

“We will do a lot of live preparation and we have the game against Clermont where we will look to use 30 players,” he added.

“It will be a fantastic test because Clermont will be a week away from Top 14 so they are further down the preparation line than we are.”
