WORCESTER’S Old Elizabethans crashed to a four-wicket defeat at Oswestry in Birmingham and District Premier League Division Two.

Opener Tom Goodwin scored 31 for Old Elizabethans, who were all out for 80 at Oswestry with Warrick Fynn (4-17) and Jonathan Miles (3-29) doing the damage.

Oswestry then secured a comfortable victory to ease their relegation woes.

Brockhampton slipped to second place in Division One following a point-less eight-wicket defeat to Moseley, while Dorridge have taken over the leadership with a win at Barnards Green.

The Dorridge innings was halted after 46 overs after Aqeel Ahmed (68) and Warwickshire’s Laurie Evans (65) had taken them to 235-4. Facing a revised total, Green closed on 159-7 in 29.5 overs, with Worcestershire’s George Rhodes hitting 46.

Moseley’s Fred Eburah took 6-31 as Brockhampton were skittled for 76. Moseley romped to victory in 9.2 overs.

Bromsgrove secured a 172-run win over Bridgnorth via the DLS method.

Ashley Newfield (75), Jayden Levitt (56) and Worcestershire’s Alexei Kervezee (59) registered half-centuries in a total of 280-6.

A depleted Bridgnorth were dismissed for 103 in 31.4 overs.
