WORCESTER United made it 12 wins in a row after beating Wyre Forest 7-0 in the Worcestershire FA Women’s Cup.

The holders went into half-time two goals up thanks to April Seers and Karli Smith.

United hit the bar through Lucy Edwards and then the post via Seers.

Player of the match Michelle Davis dominated midfield and Smith directed a header from her corner under the diving keeper.

Katie Armento struck the ball hard into the roof of the net after a superb build-up for a fine fourth goal.

Captain Becky Evans bagged another and Annie Highway got a deserved brace for her efforts.

Worcester face a tougher task on Sunday at Rubery in West Midlands League Division One South.

Manager Ryan O’Connor said: “It was a great team performance. We have asked the girls to be more ruthless in front of goal and they achieved that.

“We are on a really good run at the moment, 12 wins in a row, scoring 34 goals and conceding just two.

“We need to keep our feet on the floor and get a good result this weekend.”
