MOEEN Ali is gearing up for a hectic spell of a potential 19 Tests in barely 15 months - including another Ashes Series - and a host of ODIs and T20s.

The Worcestershire all-rounder can look forward to two Tests against Bangladesh, then five in India, four at home to South Africa, three against the visiting West Indies and five Down Under by the start of 2018.

With the 29-year-old a regular in all formats of the game, also on the horizon in that period are three ODIs and three T20s in India, three in the West Indies, two ODIS at home to Ireland and three hosting South Africa before the Champions Trophy in England next June.

One T20 and five ODIs against the Windies will end the 2017 domestic season on September 29 and then, in addition to the five Tests, England will tackle the Aussies in five ODIs and three T20s.

The schedule will get under way this Thursday for Moeen with the first Test against Bangladesh in Chittagong.

There is speculation he will move up the batting order after a successful time with the bat at number seven in the summer of 2016 against Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
