BRIVE lock Johan Snyman has been cited for a “dangerous tackle” which poleaxed Worcester Warriors fly-half Tom Heathcote in Saturday’s European Challenge Cup match at Sixways.

Snyman will appear before a disciplinary hearing in London tomorrow after a complaint from match citing commissioner Eddie Wigglesworth.

Heathcote was stretchered from the field wearing an oxygen mask after being knocked unconscious in a tackle which went unpunished by referee Gary Conway, who was just yards away from the incident.

After Warriors’ 25-24 defeat to Brive, Warriors backs coach Sam Vesty said: “It was a tackle where a shoulder caught his (Heathcote’s) head and it was a nasty-looking collision.”

Heathcote, a former Bath stand-off, will miss at least Saturday's Aviva Premiership trip to Twickenham Stoop to face Harlequins (3pm).

Synman is alleged to have committed a dangerous tackle in contravention of Law 10.4 (e).

Mike Hamlin (England, Roddy Dunlop QC (Scotland) and Andrea Caranci (Italy) have been appointed as the independent disciplinary committee for the hearing.
