HOLDERS Bromsgrove School’s rugby players are through to the fifth round of the NatWest Schools Under 18 Cup.
Bromsgrove, looking to complete a hat-trick of wins, beat Sandbach 28-6 in the last round and now host Sir Thomas Rich’s from Gloucester next Wednesday.
But the under 15s side were edged out 12-8 at Cheltenham College in their NatWest Schools tie.
Meanwhile, five North Midlands players have been invited to the Midlands Under 18s assessment session at Leicester Grammar School on January 23.
They are props Connor Deignan (Luctonians) and Kai Owen (Worcester Sixth Form College, Worcester), hooker Joel Middleton (Hereford Cathedral School, Luctonians), lock Matt Lawrence (Hereford Sixth Form College, Hereford) and number eight Charley Wright (Telford Hornets).
