WORCESTER Rugby Club girls’ under 15s team have bounced back following a tough 2015-16 campaign.
After losing plenty of games and being low on numbers, the team improved towards the end of last season.
In 2016-17, despite losing some of their older team-mates to the under 18s, Worcester have exploded onto the scene.
In the cup so far, the girls have led their pool with three wins over Tamworth, Trentham and Burton.
Their tenacious defence restricted the opposition to one try with 134 points scored at the other end.
A club spokesman said: “The future looks exciting with much for the girls still to learn and harder opposition to find.
“Credit is due to the girls for persevering when the going was tough a year ago and listening to the coaching and management, who encouraged them and stayed positive.”
