Harriers 4, Telford Utd 0

HARRIERS progressed into the second round of the FA Trophy after outclassing AFC Telford United at Aggborough.

Goals from Arthur Gnahoua, skipper Keith Lowe, substitute Mani Dieseruvwe and Jordan Tunnicliffe capped another accomplished display from John Eustace's men.

It was the visitors that worked the first chance of the game when defender Ben Bailey headed over after a Josh Wilson free kick from out wide on 15 minutes.

Harriers soon grew into the match, however, and began to enjoy more possession in the final third.

Nathan Waite spurned the opportunity to open the scoring on 17 minutes as he fired straight at keeper James Montgomery from the spot after quick feet from Zaine Francis-Angol had won a penalty for the hosts.

Harriers were ahead just before the half hour mark thanks to a fine individual effort from Gnahoua.

He collected the ball deep, beat his man and drove to the end of the box before firing right-footed into the bottom corner.

The hosts doubled their lead as Lowe headed in James McQuilkin's dangerous delivery on 37 minutes.

Home keeper Sam Hornby made sure of the two-goal advantage at the break when he pushed away a dipping Wilson free kick late on.

Telford battled hard at the start of the second half looking for a way back into the contest as the conditions changed with heavy rainfall.

Jon-Paul Kissock fired wide and Dave Hibbert had a volley saved as they asked a few questions of the home defence.

But the hosts eventually worked their way back on top before putting the game well out of reach.

Substitute Dieseruvwe glanced in a good cross from advanced right back Tyrone Williams on 76 minutes after new addition Darryl Knight began the move.

Defender Tunnicliffe then rose to meet McQuilkin's 85th minute corner to wrap up proceedings.

Harriers will now look to Monday's draw for the next round before turning attention to next Saturday's home clash with Darlington.
