HEREFORD FC claimed back-to-back promotions after thrashing hosts Salisbury 4-0.

The Bulls were rampant and with nearest rivals Taunton Town and Tiverton Town both losing they cannot be caught at the top of Evo-Stik Southern League Division One South and West.

It is now highly likely Hereford will be in the Southern League Premier Division next season.

Hereford made an electric start and were 2-0 up inside the first 13 minutes.

Mike Symons opened the scoring with a header in the fifth minute before Jamie Molyneux bundled home an effort following a corner.

When Pablo Haysham rifled home an unstoppable shot in the 31st minute it felt this could be Hereford's day.

Hereford knew they would be champions with a win as long as Taunton lost at Evesham and Tiverton dropped points at Wimborne.

And that is exactly what happened with Taunton and Tiverton both losing.

However, the Bulls fans had to wait until after the final whistle at Salisbury to find out the Evesham score.

A large cheer went up when they heard the Worcestershire side had helped seal the title for them with a 2-0 win.

Hundreds of fans then celebrated on the pitch with the players.

The attendance at the Raymond McEnhill Stadium was 1,807.

The Bulls are back at home next Saturday when they entertain Wantage Town in an all-ticket clash.
