NUNNERY Wood High School's Sian Bobrowska enjoyed her first European Judo Cadet Cup outing in Croatia.

Bobrowska, 15, won her first contest in Zagreb with an arm lock but lost the second to go out of the competition.

However, the year 11 pupil at the Worcester school gained valuable experience at the training camp and is now ranked number 88 in the world.

Bobrowska’s results have put her in a position where she will get selected for either the Youth Commonwealth Games in the Bahamas or the Youth Olympic Games in Poland.

With a busy month ahead she will be in three competitions in April.

Worcester Judo Club's Bobrowska heads to the Czech Republic, Scotland and closer to home in Walsall.
