WORCESTER'S Abigail Watkins secured a medal double at the Independent Schools Fencing Championships.
Representing Royal Grammar School Worcester in the junior girls' épée and foil she reached the semi-finals in both before claiming bronzes.
Malvern Hills Sword Fencing Club épée coach John Rees said: "It shows how good Abigail's control of distance and timing is to do so well in a weapon she has little tactical experience in."
Watkins, 15, will represent Wales in the School Games from August 31 at Loughborough University after winning individual and team bronzes last year.
