WORCESTERSHIRE Black Knights lost 28-26 to Jurassic Coast Raptors in their first BAFA National League Division Two South West Conference home game.

Knights struggled to find their way at Kings Norton Rugby Club before a 90-yard run by James Lawrence lit up the field to close the gap at 14-7.

Raptors extended the lead to 28-14 by half-time but the hosts struck after the break following another Lawrence run although they missed the extra point attempt.

Josh Chambers, Tom Duffield and Jake Cassidy defended well and Sam Bennett closed the gap to 28-26 with some powerful running alongside James Styles.

On Sunday, May 7 (2.30pm), Knights host Torbay Trojans who edged them 8-6 in the first game of the season in Devon.
