THERE will be new names on this season’s winter league trophy at Worcester Golf and Country Club.
After five months of competitive golf Duncan Macpherson and Sean Lloyd finished top of the pile.
Macpherson (2 handicap) and Lloyd (6) defeated the father-and-son pairing of Phil (11) and Chris Wilde (19).
The low handicappers ripped up the course, winning 5&4 with Macpherson notching seven birdies and his partner two.
In the April Thursday medal 19-year-old Jacob Hamer topped Division One with a score of 75 gross 8 handicap 67 nett, just ahead of Rob Humphreys (76-9-67) on countback.
Trevor Portman (75-7-68) finished third and Don Hooper (74-4-70) took the lowest gross prize.
In Division Two Cameron Clarke (17) recorded 68 nett to finish ahead of Bob Hamlett (89-18-71) with Guy Taylor (92-20-72) in third spot.
Colin Webb recorded a hole-in-one on the par-three 13th, taking an eight iron to ace the 156-yard 'Bomb Hole'.
