MANOR Park have put the success of their junior squash and racketball section down to the influence of professional coach Josh Saysell.

The club hosted its first ever England Squash Manor Park Junior Open Bronze event in April which attracted more than 40 entrants from all over the country.

And Manor Park’s juniors held their own as Ellis Wallis-Golding, Dominic Bayley and Jack Awuye-North faced some of the top young players in the country.

They also took part in the Worcestershire County Open competition with Bayley and Awuye-North taking second place in the boys’ under 15 and boys’ under 13 sections respectively.

A club spokesperson said: “Since having Josh, the juniors have gone up a notch with a whole new level of training.

“Josh has brought new life to the squash section with adults as well as the juniors benefitting from his skills as a coach.

“We are proud to say that many of the parents were pleased with the great friendly atmosphere and smooth running of the event and complimented the club on offering such great facilities.”

The squash section will be seeing more competitions, training sessions and fun events taking place for the juniors as well as the adult members including their ladies and men’s teams.
