ROYAL Grammar School Worcester's first XI opened their season with six straight wins to go joint top in the United Kingdom in schools’ cricket.
They beat Malvern College in the National Twenty20 knockout with two overs left, scoring 150-5 in reply to 149.
On-song Callum Turner was the dominant figure for RGS, scoring 67 not out off 39 balls.
They then beat Bablake School from Coventry in the next round.
The firsts and seconds were successful against Monmouth School.
Sam Hughes (103) and Josh Nott (88no) starred for the seconds.
The under 15s are through to the County Cup second round and the in-form under 13s A team scored more than 200 for the second time in two matches.
