WORCESTER'S Old Elizabethans beat Penkridge by seven wickets in Birmingham and District Cricket League Division Two.
Rana Hassan hit 73 for Penkridge but a promising position of 161-2 was wasted as Eliot Bartlett (4-37) and Atiq ur-Rehman (3-22) reduced them to 208 all out.
An unbeaten 86 from ur-Rehman ensured an easy victory for OEs who moved into fourth place level with Coventry and NW who lost by six wickets at Pershore.
Zuhaib Akhlaque scored a patient 49 in Coventry’s 139-9 with Luke Dalley (3-16) and Matt Brace (3-19) keeping the visiting batsmen on a tight rein.
Led by 48 from opener Jon Hancock Pershore were untroubled as they passed their target for the loss of four wickets with almost 15 overs in hand.
