YMCA Falcons won the Worcester Table Tennis League Team Handicap competition by just 12 points against Worcester Bats.
Brett Brining, Graham Thompson and John Stalker made up the winning team from Division One in the final at the YMCA.
Division Three outfit Bats were represented by Jack Davies, Henry Cugnoni and Luke Gwalchmai from the University of Worcester.
A team from the university won the competition last year.
There were nine singles games and three doubles as Bats scored 167 points and Falcons 392.
The students were given 213 handicap points, making their total 380 which was not quite enough to win.
In a good match Cugnoni took a game off two Falcons players while Davies and Gwalchmai both got to 11-10 in one of their games.
