OMBERSLEY lie in fourth place in the Birmingham and District Cricket League Premier Division after a nine-wicket romp against Brockhampton who posted 270-6.

Ashley Bullock (96) and Henry Langford (50) played well for Brockhampton but the inclusion of Worcestershire’s Brett D’Oliveira in the Ombersley side paid dividends.

He took 3-56 with the ball and then stroked an unbeaten 158 from 133 balls to see the Worcestershire side home with 10 overs to spare.

Fine supporting roles were played by Liam Gwynne (53) in an opening stand of 106 and Uday Kaul (56 not out) in an unbroken second-wicket stand of 165.

D'Oliveira's County team-mate Daryl Mitchell scored 31 off 62 balls for Brockhampton with five fours.

The highest total of the day came at Barnt Green where the hosts racked up 334-7 against Dorridge.

The innings was dominated by the top three of Jamie Harrison (67), Tom Brown (90) and Ed Pollock (82) with James Ayres taking 3-94.

Apart from 57 from Shahzad Ali Dorridge had no answer to Andrew Sutton (4-33) and Josh Poysden (4-56) and folded to 149 all out in 31 overs.

Kidderminster collapsed from 103-1 to 179 all out against West Bromwich Dartmouth who cruised to a nine-wicket win after Kadeer Ali (76no) and Amit John (68) put on 151 for the first wicket.

Andrew Kimberlin top scored with 58 for Kidderminster but after he was dismissed by Sultan Afsal (5-43) the rest of the home line-up fell away without much resistance.

Ben Twohig took 3-90 and scored 15 while Worcestershire team-mate Tom Fell chipped in with 26 for Wolverhampton who fell just short of victory on 256-8 in reply to Kenilworth Wardens' 258-9.

The County's Ollie Westbury returned 2-44 and ran out Berkswell's top scorer Chris Whitlock for 99 when in action for Shrewsbury.

He scored 18 as Shrewbury finished on 204-7 after being set a 248 target.

Moseley’s comprehensive 114-run win at Barnards Green put them 12 points ahead at the top of the Division One table.

Warwickshire’s Mark Adair hit 105 and Abdullah Awan added 64 as Moseley reached 277-9 in 55 overs.

Blair Kingsland took 5-80 for Green who were all out for 165 in reply.

Dannie Rees (52) hit a half-century but the innings was dominated by the bowling of Usman Awan (4-23), Ali Awan (3-16) and Naqaash Tahir (3-33).

Worcestershire's George Rhodes scored 22 and took 2-74 for Green.

Bromsgrove’s Alexei Kervezee shone with a century and three wickets in the drawn match at Smethwick.

Kervezee hit 113 from 94 balls and Ashley Newfield scored 42 in a Bromsgrove total of 232 all out with wickets for Smethwick’s Mo Sheikh (3-71) and Gurinder Singh (3-81).

In reply Amrinder Brar top scored with 43 as Smethwick closed on 210-9 with Kervezee taking 3-34.

Worcestershire's Charlie Morris bowled a tight spell of 2-9 from six overs as his side Bridgnorth bowled out Walmley for 94 and romped to a 10-wicket win.

County team-mate Joe Clarke followed up his two hundreds against Kent by remaining unbeaten on 38 from 39 balls for Tamworth who chased down a 174 target and defeated Himley by eight wickets.

There seems to be no stopping Oswestry in Division Two where Pershore were the latest side to feel the strength of the Shropshire outfit.

Although Pershore dismissed the prolific Warrick Fynn for 29 Oswestry skipper Robbie Clarke hit 84 to ensure his side set a competitive target of 215-7 in 55 overs.

Jon Hancock hit 49 for Pershore who couldn’t keep Fynn out of the action after tea.

The left-arm spinner took 5-27 and another left-arm spinner Mark Robinson snapped up 3-36 as Pershore crumbled to 120 all out.

Despite 57 from Richard Gardiner Old Elizabethans could only reach 181-8 against Halesowen who strolled to a six-wicket win with 77 from Unicorns opening batsman Ed Kilbee.

Atiq ur-Rehman took 3-58 for OEs but the best return of the match came from Halesowen’s Adam Hawker with 4-35.

Brewood skipper Richard Bradford hit 50 in his side’s total of 222 at high-flying Astwood Bank with Tom Harris taking 3-35 for the visitors.

Bank were eased to a seven-wicket win in Division Three by Sam Thomas (125no) and Pete Alexander (40no).

Handsworth defeated struggling Worcester Nomads by five wickets despite openers Gareth Davies (65) and Trevor Keen (50) giving the Bransford side a good start.

But they were unable to build on that as Dwayne Crossgill (3-18), Winston Lewis (3-30) and Clifton Folkes (3-42) reduced them to 170 all out.

Fifty-nine from Gawayne Evans clinched the game for Handsworth who remain in the bottom four despite the win.
