PERSHORE High School's Hannah Cartwright and her horse Roulette Red have achieved triple success.

Over three consecutive weekends the duo competed at each of the annual Three Villages Horse Shows in Feckenham, Hanbury and Inkberrow.

They won both the 2ft 9in and 3ft showjumping classes at each, making a total of six.

At Feckenham the pair retained the Lincoln Lewis Challenge Cup which they also won in 2016 and at Hanbury they had to overcome a strong field of 40 competitors to become winners.

Cartwright from Norton, 16, who will be attending Worcester Sixth Form College from September, has owned Red, 19, for nearly four years.

But this year they have been particularly successful in qualifying for May's Windsor Horse Show with the school equestrian team, the National Schools' Championship in October at Addington and as an individual at the National Schools' Plate in December at Keysoe.

They will also be attending the Trailblazers Championships at Stoneleigh in early August and the Sunshine Championships at Hickstead in September.

Cartwright is looking for a sponsor for future competitions and anyone interested is asked to email juliecrow10@yahoo.co.uk or call 07788 726887.
