EVESHAM Golf Club hosted the annual seniors' mixed open at the Craycombe Links.
Eighty-four competitors were welcomed on a fine sunny day with many from other clubs.
The competition was a greensomes pairs stableford where both golfers in each pair drove off the tee and then the best drive was chosen to continue play.
The course was in excellent condition considering the recent dry spell and impressive scoring was achieved by many of the teams.
The winners with 42 points were the home club's Dave and Lesley Kewley ahead of Richard Curnock and Ruth Masters on 38.
Third with 37 on countback were David Hogg (Puckrup) and Conryn Abbott.
Nearest the pin on the ninth were Hogg and Julie Powell (Leominster).
The charity raffle in aid of Acorns Children's Hospice raised over £290.
Evesham seniors played their home fixture against Lilley Brook.
The day was warm and sunny and the course was in good condition.
Roger Holmes and Tim Swift were welcomed to the team and both contributed to a 3½-2½ victory.
Richard Saville and Malcolm Carnall won 5&3, Les Bond and Holmes 6&5 and Bill Dobie and Derek Jackson 6&5.
Martin Williams and Swift halved while Ian Wood and Mike Whiteford lost 2&1 and Ian Facer and Peter Ratledge one-down.
