WORCESTER City enjoyed an encouraging finish to their pre-season friendlies with a 2-2 draw at higher-ranked Halesowen Town.
Having beaten Sutton Coldfield Town from the Northern Premier League Premier Division 4-0 City gave another team from the same level a tough test.
Halesowen went ahead in the 14th minute through Danny Bragoli before striker Dave Reynolds levelled 11 minutes later.
The hosts regained the lead five minutes before half-time thanks to Luke Shearer but City equalised again by the interval.
Winger James Baldwin produced some magic in the box and the experienced Mark Danks finished off the chance.
City player Brad Birch said on Twitter: "Last game of pre-season was 2-2 against a good Halesowen side.
"The lads and everyone involved at Worcester have been spot on, roll on the season."
City visit Northamptonshire side Daventry Town on Saturday for their first competitive game of the 2017-18 season in the FA Cup extra preliminary round.
Relegated Worcester's first Midland League Premier Division game is at home to Heanor Town at Bromsgrove's Victoria Ground on Saturday, August 12.
