AN Evesham teenager took first place in her category at the British Showjumping National Championships.
Megan Smith, riding Woodfield Boo, took top spot in the National Club Pony 80cm Championship at NAEC Stoneleigh, Warwickshire.
The 14-year-old beat the four other competitors in her class to claim the overall victory by 0.5 seconds.
She qualified for the tournament last year but was unable to compete due to lameness in Boo.
This year she was determined to do the things that Boo could not do in 2016 as a result of his injury and the pair won the highest-placed Riding Club Member sash for her class.
