HALF-back pairing Jonny Arr and Tom Heathcote are expected to miss Friday’s trip to Gloucester in the Aviva Premiership with concussion (7.45pm).
The duo both suffered bangs to the head in Worcester Warriors’ 41-10 loss to Exeter Chiefs last Friday.
Warriors have yet to confirm how long scrum-half Arr and fly-half Heathcote will be out for.
But according to the RFU the minimum a player who is progressing through the return to play protocol should be sidelined for is 19 days.
This is another blow for Heathcote who missed a large chunk of last season after sustaining two head injuries.
Heathcote’s absence means director of rugby Gary Gold will have a choice between Sam Olver and Jamie Shillcock to start at 10.
Olver replaced Heathcote, but lasted just 40 minutes before Shillcock came on in his place against Exeter.
Peter Stringer looks set to fill Arr’s shoes, but with Luke Baldwin nursing a bicep injury Gold’s other option for the number nine spot is Michael Dowsett who has not played since last term.
