BROMSGROVE Sporting moved five points above Worcester City in second spot with a 2-1 home win over Westfields.

Two wonder goals struck the Hereford side who are languishing 16th in the Midland League Premier Division table.

Fields took an early lead when Aidan Thomas set up Mark Magee who dispatched a low shot from 12 yards.

Thomas and Jamie Molyneux could not force a second goal. Fields' Phil Glover and Matt Sysum both defended well in front of a 600-strong crowd.

But Sporting came more into the game and drew level with a thunderous 20-yard shot from Jason Cowley.

They snatched the lead in the 78th minute through Robbie Bunn's 20-yard shot.

Hereford FC went just two points off the Southern League Premier Division top spot after winning 1-0 at Banbury United thanks to a stunning Keyon Reffell strike.

Bewdley Town beat Hereford Lads Club 3-1 in the West Midlands League Premier Division.
