DUNCAN Macpherson is the new holder of Worcester Golf and Country Club’s Scratch Cup after beating Andy Baker one-up.
Delayed from the club’s finals day the match lived up to expectations with the result decided on the final green.
Baker (5 handicap) only dropped two shots throughout but one-handicapper Macpherson’s game was impeccable and he lifted the trophy.
Meanwhile, Chris Kyte (8) won the October weekend medal with a round of gross 72.
Shaun Roberts (1) was runner-up with 67 which saw him win the prize for the best gross of the competition.
Mark Smith (74 gross 7 handicap 67 nett) finished in third spot and Jason Hancocks (73-5-68) was fourth.
Phil Jones (82-12-70) topped Division Two with Alan Williams (83-12-71) finishing second on countback ahead of Rich White (83-12-71) and Richard Evans (82-11-71).
In Division Three, Terry Brewer (90-20-70) finished first ahead of Julian Gadd (93-20-73) with Ken Roe (92-18-74) third on countback ahead of Rick Gerrard (92-18-74) and Tyrone Fearnehough (92-18-74).
In-form James Bishop won the juniors' October medal with 82-12-70.
William Dancox (95-24-71) was runner-up and Adam Davis (94-20-74) finished third.
