NUNNERY Wood High School's girls will go for county glory after their badminton players were crowned Worcester champions.

Four year nine pupils and one from year seven won the key stage three city round at Bishop Perowne College.

The county stage is likely to take place in the new year.

Tom Kempster, the school's head of physical education said: “I am really proud of the girls. They performed well as a team and thoroughly enjoyed it.

"They are really excited about the county round and we wish them all the best in the rest of the competition.”

Year seven pupil Nikita Thomas joined older students Olivia Neath, Daisy Wickett, Diya Dinu and Isobel Webb.
