WESTFIELDS have been rewarded for their mammoth journey and last-gasp heroics in the FA Vase with a home tie against Hamble Club in round four.

The Hereford-based club struck in the third and fifth minutes of added time to snatch a 3-2 victory from the jaws of defeat at Plymouth Parkway on Saturday.

It made the 344-mile round trip worthwhile with Westfields hosting a side that sits ninth in the Wessex League Premier Division – the same level as the Midland League Premier Division – with 29 points from 21 matches.

Stourport Swifts head to Northamptonshire to face Desborough Town of the United Counties League Premier Division, another regional equivalent of the Midland Premier. Desborough sit 11th but have a strong record of 35 points from 21 matches.

The winners of Bromsgrove Sporting’s third-round replay at Coventry United on Wednesday will travel to Wisbech Town who sit sixth with 41 points from 20 matches in the United Counties Premier.

Wisbech recently hit the headlines after 47-year-old goalkeeper Paul Bastock broke Peter Shilton’s record of 1,249 senior club appearances.

The 16 fourth-round winners will be three stages from a Wembley final and get rewarded with £1,875 in prize money.

Ties take place on the weekend of Saturday, January 6.
