SWIFT APPEARANCE: Drew Canavan
BROMSGROVE Sporting have swooped to sign Stourbridge stalwart Drew Canavan – but he cannot take part in his new club’s FA Vase adventure.
Canavan, who played more than 400 matches for the Glassboys, enjoyed game time with Stourport Swifts earlier this season, scoring in a 5-1 FA Vase triumph over Paget Rangers.
It means he will automatically be ineligible to feature for Sporting in tonight’s third-round replay at Midland League Premier Division rivals Coventry United (7.45).
The winners will scoop £1,125 in prize money and travel to Wisbech Town of the United Counties League in round four.
