KIDDERMINSTER Harriers' pre-season programme continues to gather pace as they travel to AFC Telford United tomorrow night (7.45).

The match has been brought forward 24 hours in order for Harriers to host their re-arranged match with FC United on Sunday.

Mark Yates' team returned to some kind of normality following the wash-outs last week with a 2-2 draw against Cheltenham Town at Aggborough on Tuesday.

Left-back Jonny Harkness and striker James Constable were both on target against the League One side and Yates is looking to build on the performance.

He said: "There were a lot of positives to take from the Cheltenham game. I think it showed that we have a lot of pace and power, which is important at our level."

Ex-Bromsgrove Rovers striker Matthew Barnes-Homer, 21, is to play tomorrow night after signing a one-year deal following his successful trial.

Forward Shane Paul, defender Jon Munday and midfielder Jon Adams featured in the Cheltenham game as trialists and Yates is likely to rule on them this weekend.

He added: "I thought the trialists did themselves no harm and I will be talking to a couple in the next few days about their future."

However, defender Mark Creighton and winger Simon Russell are doubts for tomorrow night and Sunday with knocks. Skipper Stuart Whitehead and striker Iyseden Christie are recovering from surgery.

AFC Telford, newly promoted to Blue Square North, have endured a mixed start to their warm-up campaign.

Rob Smith's side go into the match on the back of a 5-2 victory at Pilkington XXX, a 1-1 draw with Market Drayton Town and a 5-3 home defeat against Chester City.

Among their squad is former Wolverhampton Wanderers exile Chris Cornes, who signed a one-year deal at the New Bucks Head after being released by Worcester City.

Defender Asa Charlton, another ex-City player who also had a spell with League Two club Mansfield, is on Telford's books.
