KING'S School Worcester pupil Harry Flockhart stole the show at the British Indoor Rowing Championships with a gold medal.

Members of the King’s Worcester Boat Club travelled to London's Olympic Velodrome alongside over 2,000 competitors from all over the country.

Flockhart produced a devastating display to top the year 11 boys’ 500-metre sprint.

He also took bronze in the six-minute row and capped off a superb day on the rowing machine as part of the bronze medal-winning boys’ relay team.

Flockhart’s three medals added to a total tally of 18 for the team of 17 King's rowers.

All four relay teams won medals with fine teamwork and determination in fierce competitions with one featuring Olympic cycling champion Bradley Wiggins in his indoor rowing debut at the velodrome.

Other top-10 King's finishes came from Jemima Moss in both her year 11 individual events (seventh and eighth), upper sixth-former Sophie Lee in her sprint (fourth) and Georgie Thorp (seventh) and Beatrice Beever (10th) in their year 10 sprints.
