HEREFORD FC have signed a new keeper after Alex Harris was released.

Will Puddy was in the Bristol Rovers squad promoted to the Football League in the 2014-15 season but got released by the League One side in the summer.

The 30-year-old, who started as a youth teamer at Bristol City, also played 85 games for Salisbury from 2012 until 2014.

He is available for Hereford’s FA Trophy second-round tie at National League South mid-table side Wealdstone tomorrow (3pm).

Harris had returned to the Bulls after leaving Gloucester City but struggled to dislodge Martin Horsell from the starting line-up.

Dara O’Shea will miss Hereford’s next two league games after being sent off against Stratford Town in the 2-1 Evo-Stik Southern League win on Tuesday.

The 18-year-old has extended his loan from West Bromwich Albion until the end of the season.

Forward Eliot Richards and centre-half Jack Deaman both missed Stratford due to injury.

Hereford are just two points off Premier Division leaders King’s Lynn Town with three games in hand.

But the Bulls now turn their attention to the Trophy at Wealdstone.

“It’s one we want to progress in but it is a bit more of a freebie because there’s no points at stake,” admitted boss Pete Beadle.
