TOP scorer Joe Ironside will be back on penalty duties as Kidderminster Harriers aim to maintain their fine record at Stockport County’s Edgeley Park.

Harriers hit back from two goals down to earn tomorrow night’s FA Trophy second round replay in Greater Manchester (7.45pm) with Saturday’s 2-2 draw at Aggborough.

They are defending a 14-match unbeaten run and boast two wins at Stockport in their last two National League North visits, including 2-1 in late October.

The sides pursue a third-round tie at National League mid-table side Maidenhead United in February.

And manager John Eustace will expect Ironside to take on any spot-kick responsibility after sub Mani Sonupe missed one on Saturday before scoring the late equaliser.

Eustace praised the character of his side whose centre-half Fraser Horsfall also scored before being sent off for two bookings with a ban due after the replay.

Harriers have drawn their last three games, including 1-1 at Leamington and then 0-0 at Chorley in the league, so something will have to give tonight.

Eustace said: “To go 2-0 down quite early, the lads showed great spirit and togetherness. I’m happy they got a draw in the end.

“It was a really tough week with two tough away games but the lads were magnificent.

"The work-rate and everything they did was very good so I was very proud to see the boys still pushing in the last 15 minutes.

“Joe should have taken the penalty. He took the last one and we’ve had some words but Mani is a confident lad. He had scored his last penalty so I’m not going to be too harsh on him.

“But Joe is the penalty taker so he’ll be taking the next one and Mani will learn from that. But Mani scored the equaliser and again that’s great character to miss the penalty and pop up for the equaliser.”

Right-back Lee Vaughan and attacker Dan Bradley continued their recovery from long-term injuries.

“It’s more vital minutes for them,” said Eustace.

“They worked their socks off on Tuesday and I was a bit worried about starting them again but they both came through it very well and they’re getting fitter.”
