WORCESTER completed a tough season at the bottom of the Warwick Printing Midland Men’s Hockey League Premier Division without a win.

The city’s firsts suffered 21 defeats and picked up just one draw on the way, scoring 24 goals and conceding 126.

Worcester ended the campaign with a 2-0 home defeat to Loughborough Town.

The seconds are second from bottom in Midlands One after losing 6-2 at West Bridgford.

But Worcester thirds enjoyed a better campaign in fourth in Midlands One, finishing with a 3-0 home win over Shrewsbury.

The fourths beat Harborne fourths 4-0 in the West Midlands Premier while the fifths fell 3-1 at Warwick fourths.

Worcester sixths slumped 7-0 at Sutton Coldfield sixths in South West One and the eighths slipped 3-0 at Old Halesonians fifths in South West Two.

The women finished their Midlands Division Two season with two draws — 2-2 at home to Belper seconds and 1-1 at Solihull Blossomfield.

Belper are two points behind second-from-bottom Worcester with one game left.

Meanwhile, Andy Rollason scored as Droitwich Spa men lost 4-1 at home to previously-winless Yardley in West Midlands One.
