A WORCESTER centre for goalkeeper coaching is being launched on Thursday.
Scott Ormerod is starting GK Icon Worcester with a free session at Perdiswell Leisure Centre, Bilford Road, for six to 18 year olds from 6pm until 8pm.
Ormerod will be joined in running the sessions by company director Richard Lee who played in goal for Watford and Brentford.
There will be weekly sessions every Thursday at Perdiswell for eight to 12 year olds from 6pm until 7pm and 13 to 18 year olds from 7pm until 8pm.
There are one-to-one sessions available too on request.
Ormerod, a level one coach who has worked both at home and in the USA, said: "We focus on developing keepers of the next generation knowing that they need as much attention to develop as outfield players do."
He played as a goalkeeper in men's football and has managed youth teams in Gloucestershire.
