WORCESTER Swimming Club continued their dominance of the Winter League at the final in Droitwich.

With all three Worcester teams competing, the A group were comfortable winners for the fifth year in a row with 202 points ahead of Redditch on 170.

The B side finished ahead of Halesowen on 129 and only marginally behind Pershore who scored 145 while the C swimmers totalled 71.

Worcester came first in 15 of the 40 races.

Two B team swimmers won with Sam Hartley in the boys' 15/U 100-metre breaststroke in one minute 15.76 seconds and Louis Doyle in the 15/U 100m backstroke in 1.1.56 as Worcester took all three top spots.

There were also impressive swims by Amelia Gearey in the girls’ 13/U 100m butterfly (1.15.77), Adam Rutter in the boys' 13/U 100m butterfly (1.10.96), Jakob Baker in the boys' open 100m freestyle (55.40) and William Thomas in the boys' 11/U 50m breaststroke (43.32).
