STOURPORT pulled 23 points clear at the top of Worcestershire League Division One thanks to another fine bowling performance which saw them dismiss fourth-placed Worcester Nomads for 114 at Walshes Meadow to gain a comfortable victory.

Bewdley remain second despite a poor batting performance on the road at Feckenham as Tom Coulson grabbed another five-wicket haul to reduce the visitors to 59-9 at the close.

Chaddesley Corbett moved back into third after Mohammed Sajid scored an unbeaten 97 to help them chase down Cookley's 194-7 and the ever-improving Worcester, who won another tight game by two wickets this time at Hagley, now find themselves in fifth.

Elsewhere, Colwall moved into mid-table following a comfortable seven-wicket victory over Burghill, Tillington and Weobley who remain bottom and Pedmore pulled themselves out of the relegation zone with their first victory of the season against Evesham

In Division Two, Bromyard stay top of the table as their overseas all-rounder Josh Van Rensburg scored a crucial half-century to steer them to a four-wicket victory against bottom club Wormelow.

Oldswinford moved into second spot after they dismissed inconsistent Himbleton for 116 to seal victory by a comfortable margin.

Coombs Wood went up to third after gaining a winning draw against Bredon who are now fifth while Enville, led by Matthew Branch (70), batted well again to beat lowly Bartestree and Lugwardine by eight wickets and climb into fourth.

The previous week's second-placed team Belbroughton slipped to sixth after losing to Droitwich at St Peter's Fields.

Max Richardson and Ed Burgoyne shared eight wickets to be the main contributors for Old Vigornians as they gained a welcome victory against a previously in-form Kempsey.

In Division Three, the top three remain as you were as Alvechurch and Hopwood won a tight game at Five Ways Old Edwardians by two wickets.

Assistant groundsman Clive Jones took 6-30 on the pitch he helped prepare during the week as Rushwick beat second-from-bottom Hanley Castle and Upton by four wickets.

Second-placed Rushwick skittled their visitors for 112 with Josh Benson-Smith (22) the top-scoring batsman.

The hosts won in 23 overs but Hanley took wickets on the way in the reply of 113-6.

An unbeaten half-century by Waqas Ahmed inflicted another defeat on bottom club Malvern who are in danger of being cut adrift if they do not improve.

Netherton moved into fourth place as Hassan Shah (77) and Matt Hall (72) helped them post a total of 277-7 which proved 100 too many for Bromsgrove.

Martley, thanks to Alexander Basford (96) and Jamie Clifford (72), posted over 300 for the second week in a row which was enough to gain a winning draw at Harborne.

The match between Eastnor and Avoncroft was one of only a few which were lost to the weather.

In Division Four, West Malvern failed to take advantage of the misfortune of leaders Halesowen, who had to suffer the abandonment of their home game against Astwood Bank, as Adnan Wahid scored an undefeated century to grab victory for visitors Romsley and Hunnington.

One team that did take advantage of Halesowen's disappointment was Tenbury who climbed into second place as Zak Yarranton took 6-34 to ensure a comfortable win against Kidderminster.

Stourbridge gained a maximum-point win over Himley, Alveley dismissed Stourport cheaply to secure a 10-wicket victory and Claverley beat Hallow Taverners who failed to chase down the 90 runs they required for victory.
